After updating my site, the portfolio pages aren’t displaying properly. I am receiving this error: “The files “portfolio.php” and “portfolio-post.php” are not found in your theme directory. Please copy them from the directory wp-content/plugins/portfolio/template/ to your theme directory for correct work of the Portfolio plugin” I am using the Vantage theme and did copy the two files listed above to this directory: /public_html/wp-content/themes/vantage/templates Since I added those files, the template is available and the top level portfolio page displays properly but the detail pages are no longer showing in a grid format, even though I have the Number of images in the Row set to 3 in the settings, and I am still seeing that error message about the missing files. When I try to reduce the thumbnail size, it just reads “updating” but never completes. Hi, It is necessary to move files “portfolio.php” and “portfolio-post.php” from /public_html/wp-content/themes/vantage/templates to the root folder with your theme (/public_html/wp-content/themes/vantage). Sincerely, BestWebSoft Support Team Well, that didn’t exactly work. Per your instructions, I moved both files up one level to the vantage folder. When I tested it, the main portfolio page was blank again. I then put a duplicate of the portfolio.php back into the templates folder, and now it looks like both the main page and the detail pages are displaying properly. Not sure why, but looks like the portfolio-post.php needs to be in the vantage (theme) folder and the portfolio.php file needs to be in the templates folder (or both) for this to work. Hi, Please provide a link to your site. Sincerely, BestWebSoft Support Team Hi, Since there is no reply from you, we consider this topic as resolved. We hope you’ve found the solution.
