review · 1 starsVery misleading to say that in order to use a selected block I need a free account and WPZip. And after that account I need to pay… These kind of practices are not ok.
Hi @hreinink , Thank you for sharing your feedback. We completely understand why this felt confusing, and we want to clear this up right away. All free blocks in Spectra are completely free to use. No ZipWP account, no login, no payment required. Free means free. The ZipWP sign in prompt appears only when importing a ready made page, pattern, or design from the Spectra Design Library. This is separate from the blocks themselves. We originally allowed design imports without any login, but we had to introduce this step because our servers were being targeted by large volumes of spam traffic and DDoS attacks. The sign-in step helps us protect the system and keep things stable for everyone. ZipWP does have paid plans, but it also has a forever free plan, and you do not need to pay a single cent to import designs. Here is how you can proceed: Open the Spectra Design Library from your WordPress editor Select the page, pattern, or kit you want to import When prompted, sign in or sign up for a ZipWP account Choose the Free plan, no payment required Import the design and it will automatically adapt to your site’s styles If you run into any trouble at any step, please let us know, and we will put together a personalized video walkthrough just for you. To quickly recap, all free blocks in Spectra are completely free to use, and no account or payment is needed for the blocks themselves. The ZipWP sign in prompt only appears when importing a design from our Design Library, and the free plan covers that fully with no payment required at any point. We also want to address the concern about misleading practices. We hear you, and we genuinely want to be transparent. The free plan on ZipWP gives you full access to design imports at no cost. There are paid plans available for users who want advanced features, but those are never required to use Spectra or import designs.
