supportI would like to be able to check a box in the Customizer to indicate to load the italics styles of the fonts. The workaround for now is to directly edit /includes/fonts.php to include the italics styles in the weight. For example: 'Titillium Web' => array( 'name' => 'Titillium Web', 'family' => '"Titillium Web", sans-serif', 'weight' => '400,700,400italic,700italic', 'sets' => array( 'latin', ), ), https://wordpress.org/plugins/styleguide/
I have support for italics on my todo list! 🙂 Note that you can also filter the list of fonts to add support for italics – you can see the extra fonts section on the other notes page of the plugin info https://wordpress.org/plugins/styleguide/other_notes/
Ah, very good! That’s probably a little more elegant than my brute-force editing of the plugin files. 🙂 I really appreciate this plugin and was anxiously awaiting your support of Twenty Sixteen. It’s nice to be able to easily customize the fonts on my site. Thanks!
Thanks – it’s great to hear you like it! If you have a moment a rating would be awesome 🙂 https://wordpress.org/plugins/styleguide/
Done! Thanks for the reminder. 🙂
