supportHi, As the Display Widgets plugin (from http://strategy11.com/ ) was removed from WordPress’ plugin directory recently I found your plugin as a replacement. However, it could not be activated: Fatal error: Cannot redeclare dw_widgets_style() (previously declared in /home/httpd/vhosts/******/wp-content/plugins/display-widgets/display-widgets.php:754) in /home/httpd/vhosts/******/wp-content/plugins/ah-display-widgets/ah-display-widgets.php on line 767 It looks as if there is a conflict with the Display Widgets plugin. After deinstalling the latter the AH Display widgets activated nicely. I had preferred to keep both plugins active in order to copy the settings more conveniently. Nevertheless, I am reporting this to you since more users might migrate from Display Widgets to AH Display Widgets soon.
While your post is five months old and hopefully most people have discarded Display Widgets by now – I recently took over admin for a website that had Display Widgets still running. You didn’t need to have both running and copy over settings – the settings remained in your database and AH Display Widgets would have picked them up on activation. That is why AH Display Widgets is so wonderful.
Hey @nightl , Thank you very much for sharing this information. So far I used “Custom Sidebars – Dynamic Widget Area Manager” as a workaround. It works a bit differently but did the job.
