The error you mention indicates that BuddyPess was not present on your site, or is an outdated version. Version 2.0.2 avoids crashing WordPress even when BuddyPress is not present.

This is a buddyPress plugin. As explained in the documentation, it cannot function and has no use if buddyPress is not installed and configured on your site. The error you mention indicates that BuddyPess was not present on your site, or is an outdated version.
