supportHello team, Is there a way to exclude certain products from being advertised (e.g., less popular items, products with limited stock, etc.)?
Hi @aldabogskie – thank you for reaching out! The plugin is used for syncing products from your site to your Commerce Manager, it doesn’t solely control what is being advertised. Using the plugin, you can manually exclude products from the Marketing > Facebook options ( Exclude categories from sync and Exclude tags from sync ). Additionally, if a product is out of stock in your Catalog on Commerce Manager, it will not be shown in your Dynamic Ads. For more information on Ads, you can check out the Meta’s official documentation , or reach out to Meta support directly. Kind regards, Marija
Hi Marija, Thank you for getting back to me. I need a bit more clarification. Specifically, I am trying to suppress individual products of my choosing from being included in the Meta Catalog Feed (specifically for Facebook Catalog ads, as I do not use Facebook or Instagram Shops). I am not interested in excluding entire Categories. While I see the option to exclude by categories, I am looking for a more direct, per-product setting. Additionally, an AI search summary mentioned that there should be a “Facebook” tab within the individual Product edit page to control this, but I am completely missing that tab on my setup. Could you please advise: Is there a built-in way to suppress an individual item from the catalog feed without relying on category/tag exclusions? Is a “Facebook” tab supposed to appear in the Product Data section for per-product control, or was that incorrect information? Thank you for your help!
Hi @aldabogskie , thank you for following up! You can exclude individual products using one of the following methods: Go to the Product you want to edit > Facebook tab > Facebook Sync View post on imgur.com 2. From the Products > All products page select the products you want to change the Sync rules for. Then, change the status via the Bulk Editor > Edit > Sync to meta catalog > Do not sync: View post on imgur.com If you aren’t seeing either of these options, please share your System Status report , the latest facebook_for_woocommerce log (located in WooCommerce > Status > Logs), and any plugin-related errors from your debug.log using PasteBin . Kind regards, Marija
