An excellent plugin for importing podcasts into your WordPress website. The only downside is that there is no option to limit the number or age of the post on the initial download. Can be a bit out of date when you’re downloading podcasts from 2011 and earlier. November 2021 Downgraded rating from 5 stars to 3 stars due to latest update placing in nudge spam on every admin page to use their theme. This topic was modified 4 years, 6 months ago by kevin heath . Hey Kevin, Thanks for sharing your review! We appreciate your feedback and would love to add a date limit/option in the future. Did you experience any issues while trying to import a podcast from 2011 or earlier, or are you simply trying to limit the number of imported posts to be after a certain date? Hi, thanks for the response. There were no problems with importing older podcasts, but I do have my own dedicated server. I would imagine that many on shared servers would time out before the import completed. I just think it would be nice to be able to stop the import at a certain age or date of the podcast. I’ve imported some wildlife podcasts on one of my news sites so it’s not very relevant when importing 3 or 4-year-old casts. Apart from that, you’ve got a great plugin, thanks Hi Thinking about it using dates might be a bit difficult because of all the different ways different sites set up their dates. A simple import last x number of episodes will probably be more useful and easier to do with a loop. Hi Kevin, Thanks again for the feedback! Yeah just like any import process with WordPress, if the server got too much to handle, it could fail. This would typically happen if you’re dealing with 200 or more episodes with large images that need to be imported. With that said, if you run the importer more than once, it should work eventually. Anyways – with a dedicated server I assume you’re all set. It’s a great idea to limit the last x number of posts – we’ll make sure to add this option into the next plugin update.
