supportHi, it would be nice if in a future update there would be the possibility to enter ingredients with a decimal place. For example 4.5 tsp sugar. This is a common format in Europe. Currently, the only workaround is to enter 4 1/2, but that doesn’t look quite as nice. BR Yasin
Hello @charmageddon , In the front end if you have a measurement like 4 1/2, it should display as: 4 ½. This should work with anything like 1/8, 1/6, 1/4, etc. The full list of conversions: ‘⅛’, ‘⅙’, ‘⅕’, ‘¼’, ‘⅓’, ‘½’, ‘⅔’, ‘⅝’, ‘¾’ ,’⅞’. But just so I understand the issue fully. When you enter a measurement like 4.5 tsp sugar, you don’t want a zero to be added at the end right? For example. 4.5 tsp sugar => 4.50 tsp sugar
Hi @goratech It is currently not possible for me to enter 4.5, for example. It is then displayed as 45
@charmageddon That should not happen, can you show me an example of this on your website? I suspect something is going on because it should be possible. For example on this demo website https://cooked.pro/demo/recipe/andouille-and-beef-burgers-with-spicy-mayo-and-caramelized-onions/ You can see the “1.50 lbs ground beef chuck or ground beef (20 percent fat)”
Hi @goratech you are right, if you enter it with a comma, it works but the 0 is written after it. I have always tried it with a period haha. Maybe you can change this in an update so that a zero is written after it? Then it would look more consistent. 🙂 By the way, could you also replace the Twitter button? It is now X…. P.S: I love the plugin, there are now over 300 recipes on my website and the community loves the simplicity of the plugin
@charmageddon I am a little bit confused on the measurement amount. I suspect this is something to do with the US vs European way of writing/formatting numbers. In many European countries, a comma (,) is used as the decimal separator, while a dot (.) or a thin space is used to separate groups of three digits in large numbers For example if I enter the following values for both English and Deutsch: 1.5 g 1,5 g 1 1/2 g I see the following for both languages: English 1.50 g 15 g 1 ½ g Deutsch 15 g 1,50 g 1 ½ g So it seems like this is by design depending on the Languages preferred way of formatting numbers. For the Twitter button, that was changed a while back and you can also see an example on that same page: https://cooked.pro/demo/recipe/andouille-and-beef-burgers-with-spicy-mayo-and-caramelized-onions/ From what I see on your site, it looks like you have not updated Cooked Pro in a while. I think if you update that Twitter icon should change along with other features and improvements. Note: Since you are a few versions behind I would recommend taking a backup before updating. P.S.: I am glad that you love the plugin, I am working hard to make sure all the bugs are squashed and adding new features with every release.
Hi @goratech , Thanks for your quick reply. I think the spelling is really a matter of taste. Many German recipe books work with a point. The 0 behind it should only be removed at some point, e.g. that it is 1.5 and not 1.50. What is the latest version of Cooked Pro? I purchased the Lifetime license years ago (mid-2020) and thought it would update automatically. At least the license is stored in my settings and is displayed as valid.
