supportHi Is there a way to set the frontend filter to dynamically update when certain options are set. eg: If you select Ford as a make then only the Ford models appear. (currently all models appear) It appears to do this on the frontend form submission Thanks
Hi there Generally, the filters in the Motors theme work in the same way you’re trying to achieve. You can manage the settings for these filters by navigating to: Dashboard → Motors → Custom Fields. However, if you’d like to use the same type of filter that appears when adding a listing, unfortunately, that isn’t possible — this widget is not included in the Motors plugin (free). Hope for your understanding! Kind regards
Thanks, I got it working. Is there a way to only show the valid values? hiding the none valid items. I notice they turn a lighter grey colour. Its just my list is going to be rather large and not very user friendly to use at the moment,
You are welcome and thank you as well! You need to manage your custom field options manually. The plugin doesn’t include such an automated feature by default Best regards
Hi I’m confused as on the Listings Search Tabs widget *add add listings form), only shows eligible models but the main Search Options (Search Filter found on the listings page) doesn’t offer this See screenshot Thanks
They are two different elements. But if there is no related Model, you won’t be able to select to be searched by default Best regards
Hi I know they are two different elements. My question is why don’t they act the same? It looks very bad that two searches reach differently/ The Search Filter should act like the other filters. thanks
The first element for the home page, the second element for the inventory page. Their purposes are different by default Best regards
I understand the difference between the two elements. My query is why do the input fields act differently? It gives a really bad user experience, having one that searches and one that is a long list both of which are searching the same dataset. thanks
Because, in inventory page you can have long list of listings, while the main task of the searching element in the home page is to redirect the searching to the inventory page. Best regards
