supportHi all, Not yet an IndieWeb user, but would love to get into it after browsing many sites for the past year. I currently run https://www.hammyhavoc.com , but I’m wondering if I should change the canonical domain to https://hammyhavoc.com . What would you recommend? Are there any notable pros/cons within the IndieWeb ecosystem like IndieAuth? What happens if I start on www, and later wish to switch to the TLD? Sorry to inundate with questions, just super curious. This is what’s been putting me off starting this past year.
Well, the IndieWeb community considers your domain to be your identity. That doesn’t mean you can’t change it, it is just the longer you use it, the more places it has to be updated if you change.It is the equivalent of changing your username in other contexts. Traditional redirects help. If you permanently redirect one to the other, it will work well enough.
