review · 1 starsThey are too busy trying to sell a “pro” version I assume to make even basic documentation or utility. “the security key can be found at Settings -> Advanced iframe” …is a flat out lie and that’s needlessly kludgy garbage anyway. Like the vast majority of other plugins, this one is just another cash grab attempt putting basic functionality behind a pay/tech/assumption wall. God help you if you just wanna load an external URL in a widget.
Hi, can you please tell why this should be a lie? Have you maybe not found the administration of the plugin? If you have activated the plugin and go to your WordPress administration you find a menu entry “Advanced iframe” (also at Settings->Advanced iframe). Then you go to the basic tab and there you find a shortcode with the security key you can simple copy and paste. Also you can use the “Add Advanced iFrame” button above the editor. By default the “Options” tab is shown at the beginning to make sure the users ready the quick start guide. After that you can switch there, that the basic tab is shown first by default. Why should I provide a non working free version? Nobody would even look at the pro version if the free version does not work! The free version also provides a lot of features you don’t find anywhere else. And the pro version is the next step with many additional features. So please look at the right place for the security key and also there you find a lot of documentation (the same as for the pro version!) to include your iframes the best way. Best, Michael
None of what you are talking about showed up. There was no menu entry. And I’m not about to help you squash a bug just so you can put more crap behind your greedy paywall. So don’t even ask. I’m so tired of you coders trying to put a toll gate every 10 meters. You should be ashamed of yourself but you’re a payware coder, which means you’re not capable of shame.
The free version has been working fine for me for years. On your dashboard side menu, click on “Advanced iFrame”. A page will open. Near the top, click on “Basic Settings” tab. The security key is in the light green box. There are a number of usage examples on the same page.
Seems to me you have not activated the plugin. Please go to “Plugins” and click activate at “Advanced iframe”. Here is a screenshot how it should look like: http://www.tinywebgallery.com/download/basic.png I just downloaded the version from WordPress and checked that the download is working fine. So there is no need to create a bug. As I said before. There is no reason in the world why the free version should not work at all. I’m also not sure why you offend me when I try to help you to get the plugin running. Best, Michael
