Configured plugin first time. Requires password to be entered twice. Disabled caching. Page freezes/loads forever. Can’t change password, even after manually editing in DB it gives password error. Recent support tickets not resolved, so I will move on to another plugin instead of posting a support ticket. Hi @brandonfire brandonfire, Thank you for reaching out to us and your feedback. We’re really sorry about the inconvenience. If you meet the issue requires password to be entered twice. It’s likely that you’re using an unsupported caching method and/or plugin or could be have something wrong with the cookie. To assist you better, could you provide us some information please? 1. Which hosting server\cache server that you’re using please? 2. A sample protected URL page and the password for us to take a look. >>>Can’t change password, even after manually editing in DB it gives password error. Can you provide us a screenshot\screencast when you change the password please? Does it show any error when you change the password? I’m convinced if you allow us to help, everything will be sorted out very soon. Please reach out to us by email at support(at)wpfolio.com for more convenient and personalized responses. Sorry, I don’t have time to troubleshoot this with you. I’ve already found another plugin that works perfectly for this. However, clearly these are bugs others are complaining about, so there are things you can do: Implement a warning about caching plugin incompatibility. Triple check how your plugin is storing it’s password…I noticed it was even plain text in the database which is not good practice. Encryption and storing it properly are probably the issues. Test out the bugs others are also mentioning in your support forums that I’ve mentioned here. It’s not a coincidence multi people have the same issues. Thank you anyway, and I wish you the best of luck. I won’t be replying here any further. Thank you again for the details feedback and suggestion. It will help us a lot to improve our plugin. I have taken a note for our dev team to check it. Should you need any further support, please feel free to contact us.
