Display before checkout?

Thanks for this cool plugin–it has big-time potential for my EDD site (demo stage) about fonts. I love customizing the empty cart info. I used to be able to change the word “cart” to “type case” and edit the template file after each EDD update. For some reason, this strategy no longer works. Example: http://bazaar.typeheritage.com/downloads/xyz-001/ It would be ideal to make this change permanently, add a comment like “The menu of Similar and Compatible Fonts below may lead to something very interesting!” and then display it in the sidebar as illustrated in the above example. Is it possible to output this shopping suggestion before final checkout? What I want to do is change the label “Your cart is empty” and encourage patrons to browse the menu labeled “Similar and Compatible Fonts” BEFORE they accidentally(?) click the check-out link: http://bazaar.typeheritage.com/downloads/xyz-001/ Thanks again for this promising plugin, Anna Hi Anna, If I am understanding what you want to do correctly, the easiest way to control what the empty cart displays would be my free extension here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-digital-downloads-empty-cart/ Let me try again to explain… The empty-cart info displays ONLY on the check-out page. No customer with an empty cart will see it unless they *accidentally* click “check out.” This defeats the purpose of encouraging them to purchase something that may interest them. Is there a way to display it in the sidebar for a download product? Hoping for a solution, Anna
