supportI LOVE Childify and have used it on many sites now. It’s absolutely terrific. As much as I love seeing it in my sites, I am wondering whether we can — and possibly should — not only disable (as you have addressed in another help post — but also delete the plugin. I don’t dare try without the wise creator’s advice. I certainly would not want to delete my child theme! I am only asking because we are told not to have unnecessary plugins in WordPress due to speed and vulnerability. https://wordpress.org/plugins/childify-me/
Hello Deb, how are you? 😀 Thanks for your appreciation! Yes you can disable it if you want, once you created the child theme the plugin’s work it’s done, you don’t need to have it active to run your child-theme. This plugin is “passive”, doesn’t do anything on “front”, and anything in your “dashboard” unless you tell it to do a child-theme 😀 It just displays a “button” in the Customizer (Appearance -> Customize) waiting for the users click :), and only if you’re customizing a parent theme. So you can have it active or not, doesn’t have any impact 😉 Have a great day! Rocco
