supportHi, Can you check please? This is my error at trying to activate the plugin: [25-Jun-2024 08:13:28 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Cannot redeclare bps_buddypress() (previously declared in /www/htdocs/xxxx/wp-content/plugins/buddyboss-platform/bp-core/bp-core-profile-search.php:32) in /www/htdocs/xxxx/wp-content/plugins/bp-profile-search/bps-main.php on line 29 Thanks, kind regards
Hi Eric, You probably have activated GEO my WP. Could you try deactivating it and see if BP Profile Search can be installed without errors?
Hi, Yes, with deactivated GeomyWP it is working, but I need both plugins, what now? Thanks, kind regards
Hi Eric, As you may know, BuddyBoss contains a basic version of BP Profile Search. When you activate the standard BP Profile Search plugin, having both copies active may cause problems. You can try deactivating the internal copy: go to BuddyBoss -> Settings -> Profiles and uncheck the “ Enable advanced profile search on the members directory ” checkbox. Does this help?
Hi, Unfortunately not. Kind regards
Hi Eric, Just to make sure I’ve found the actual cause of this problem, could you please: Edit the file bp-core-profile-search.php in wp-content/plugins/buddyboss-platform/bp-core Locate the line: function bp_core_load_profile_search() { Immediately after that line, add this line: return false; Save the file, and see if the problem is still there.
Hi, I did this, unfortunately no improvement by this. Thanks, kind regards
Did you edit the file in your dashboard, with Plugins -> Plugin File Editor ?
No, with FTP directly
Well, at this point I’d offer to take a look at your test site, but that goes against this forum’s policy. If you are interested, we can continue this conversation on my BP Profile Search support forum: https://dontdream.it/support/forum/bp-profile-search-forum/
