supportHello, We use our own custom post status for wordpress (for example “pending review”) and Contextly fetches them, even if they are not published yet. This is frustrating because some articles are still in a draft state and not ready being seen by the public, and other are planified for a future publication date, yet everyone can see them… Is there an easy way to fix this, while waiting for an update? This bug aside, it’s a great plugin, great job! Best regards José Manosalvas https://wordpress.org/plugins/contextly-related-links/
José, There is no work-around. We need to put in a bug fix. I don’t believe it will take long. Can you tell me what site this is for? Thanks, Ben
Hi Ben, Thank you for your fast answer. The website is “www.sept.info”. At the moment it seems that the unpublished posts aren’t showing anymore. Best José
Hi Ben, We published a new article and again some new published ones keep showing. Here’s the link of the article that fetches the non-published articles : http://www.sept.info/les-cineastes-egyptiens-en-quete-de-liberte/ For example, the ” Succession et PME (3/6): «Appréhender une vente, c’est aussi choisir le moment de sa vente » ” should not be fetched. And if you click on it you can see that it redirects to a 404 page (and the url is the preview-url) The status of non-published article is a custom one : Ready to Publish Thank you for your help Best regards José
José, Thanks for the details. I will pass this information to our devs. We should have something for you soon. Best, Ben
José, We removed the “ready-to-publish” posts. We are working on a fix to prevent them from being collected in the future. FYI. Best, Ben
Ben, Thank you for the great support. Are all the custom posts status removed or only “ready-to-publish”? Thank you again and great work! Best José
José, Just “ready-to-publish”. Let us know if there are any further issues. You can also reach us directly by using support@contextly.com Best, Ben
