So far it seems to me like this plugin is compatible with WP-Markdown. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-markdown/ You might be able to point to that as an alternative WYSIWYG editor. On a related note, can’t you just disable the rich text editor for threaded replies? Seems like a harsh trade-off to have to disable it altogether. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bbpress-threaded-replies/ I’m using the Fancy Editor option for bbPress to control that aspect; it is a bit more difficult to separate out replies from any other bbPress uses. The good news is that threaded replies are going into bbPress core for version 2.3, so hopefully I will be able to fix the TinyMCE DOM issues that have come up without disabling the Fancy Editor. I’m using the Fancy Editor option for bbPress to control that aspect; it is a bit more difficult to separate out replies from any other bbPress uses. The good news is that threaded replies are going into bbPress core for version 2.3, so hopefully I will be able to fix the TinyMCE DOM issues that have come up without disabling the Fancy Editor.
