Would be good to add the custom_dashboard.php to a directory in the child theme called /themes/child-theme/sweet-custom-dashboard/custom_dashboard.php and then have the plugin check the child theme first and then the plugin directory. Great plugin and thanks for the tutorial too E http://wordpress.org/plugins/sweet-custom-dashboard/
