Hi team, I encountered an issue while installing the UpdraftPlus plugin. The installation failed with the following message: “Installation failed: The package could not be installed.” For reference, I’m using PHP 7.4.33, the Twenty Twenty-Two theme (Version 1.1), and WordPress 6.4.2. I would appreciate any help in identifying and resolving this issue. Thank you for your support. Best regards, Mark Hi Mark, Could you please try following our installation guide here first . The error “The package could not be installed” is usually caused by a corrupted/incomplete ZIP download, insufficient server disk space, file permission restrictions, security/firewall rules on the hosting side, or upload size/time limits. Please also try downloading a fresh copy of the plugin and installing it again, preferably directly from Plugins > Add New in WordPress. If the issue continues, please send a screenshot of the exact error. Kind regards, Bryle Hi Bryle, It still shows an error when installing using both methods. When installing directly via Plugins > Add New in WordPress, the response is: { "success": false, "data": { "install": "plugin", "slug": "updraftplus", "pluginName": "UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin", "errorCode": "incompatible_archive_no_plugins", "errorMessage": "The package could not be installed." } } When installing via ZIP upload , the error shown is in the screenshot below Are you able to install directly from the WP repository? No. I can not install from WP directly, it shows as “Installation failed: The package could not be installed.” and response from API is { "success": false, "data": { "install": "plugin", "slug": "updraftplus", "pluginName": "UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin", "errorCode": "incompatible_archive_no_plugins", "errorMessage": "The package could not be installed." } }
