reviewI was impressed enough with the performance and got stellar support initially, and on one site where I only saw a minimal improvement, James from WP Compress actually got into the website and fixed things in a couple of minutes. I was so impressed that I bought the white label version for $499. However, in the middle of the day on May 1st, any replies stopped completely. I’ve followed up now in chat a couple of times, and even tracked down a support@ email, and heard nothing back, a full 12 days later. update, two days later, May 13 they did finally get in touch and resolved the issue. Sort of disconcerting, but they seem okay now. Performance is still good. 2nd Update – They added a new support portal https://app.wpcompress.com/tickets which (now that I’m aware of on May 26th) I’m very happy about. Leaving my review at just 4 stars, and in the coming weeks I’ll be adding more sites. This topic was modified 1 month ago by Scott Hendison . This topic was modified 1 month ago by Scott Hendison . @cyber49 Hello, We’re sorry for the problems caused, we had a lot of issues lately with our support system where tickets never reached us and even some tickets got closed/removed from the system without them actually being taken care of and we became aware of this issue only recently when you and few other users contacted us via WordPress Forums. We will contact you directly in order to see what’s happening and help you out. Thank you!
Is WP Compress an abandoned product? I’ve been waiting for support on an important question since late April. I’ve reached out multiple times via email and the chatbot, but I still haven’t received a response. I recently purchased a lifetime deal, but I’m now considering switching to another plugin. At the moment, this feels like being on a ship without a captain, which is a serious risk. If there are ‘technical issues with the support system’, that should be communicated via social media or email or whatever. The complete lack of communication is unacceptable, unprofessional and amateurish. This reply was modified 4 weeks, 1 day ago by marksalden .
