supportHi there, I have installed WooCommerce version 10.3.4 and wordpress version 6.8.3 on a stage, Theme: Elementor pro: 3.28.0. Under Woocommerce > General > Enable tax rates and calculations option is enabled. But I don’t see Automated taxes option given in the plugin page screenshot under the Tax section. I am located in Spain and I have gone through all of the troubleshooting. Any help would be appreciated! The page I need help with: [ log in to see the link]
Hi @alejavi , I understand how concerning it can be not seeing the Automated taxes option, especially after enabling tax rates and calculations and confirming your setup for Spain. I tested this on my end with the store country set to Spain and was able to view the automated tax options as shown here: https://cln.sh/T5GXSVVGpBZlqdsyfG52 . To help us better understand what’s happening on your end, could you please share the following details? A screenshot of WooCommerce > Settings > General showing your store address and country. A screenshot of WooCommerce > Settings > Tax showing your tax setup and available options. Your System Status Report copied and shared using https://pastebin.com . You can upload the screenshots using https://snipboard.io and share the links here. Once we have these details, we can take a closer look to pinpoint what might be preventing the automated tax option from appearing. Looking forward to your reply so we can get this sorted for you.

Hi @alejavi , I appreciate you taking the time to share these detailed screenshots and your system report. That’s really helpful in understanding your current configuration. Based on what you’ve shared, I’d like you to adjust a few settings to help ensure the automated tax option appears correctly. Please go to WooCommerce → Settings → General , then: Under Store Address , keep your current details. In General options , set Shipping location(s) to Ship to all countries you sell to . Make sure Enable tax rates and calculations is checked. Next, under WooCommerce → Settings → Tax → Tax options , set Prices entered with tax to No, I will enter prices excluding tax . Once you’ve saved those changes, go back to WooCommerce → Settings → Tax and check again if the Automated taxes option is visible. Let’s see how it goes!

Here changing the option to excluding tax price: https://snipboard.io/BGAY5u.jpg Also note that we are a academy, we only sell online courses, not shipping there. Let’s try two things to narrow down the cause of the missing Automated Tax option. First, please change your store’s country to another supported country listed here https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-shipping-and-tax/woocommerce-tax/#section-8 , then check if the Automated Tax option appears under WooCommerce → Settings → Tax . This will help confirm if the issue is specific to Spain’s configuration. If the option still doesn’t appear, please run a quick plugin conflict test by deactivating all plugins except WooCommerce and WooCommerce Tax . Once done, check again if the Automated Tax option becomes visible. Let’s see how it goes!

Looking back at your earlier shared System Status Report at https://pastebin.com/qnRtZHX7 , I noticed that the WooCommerce Tax plugin isn’t listed among your installed or active plugins. Since the Automated Taxes option depends on this plugin, please install and activate the WooCommerce Tax plugin from this page: https://woocommerce.com/products/tax/ . Once you’ve installed it, revisit WooCommerce → Settings → Tax to check if the Automated Taxes option now appears. Let’s see how it goes!
Hi @lovingbro You were absolutely right — I could’ve sworn I already had that plugin installed, but when I checked, it wasn’t there. I’ve now installed WooCommerce Tax , and the Automated Taxes option is showing correctly. Thank you very much for your help! 🙏 Once we finish our tests on the staging site, we’ll move everything to production. If any issue comes up, I’ll comment again on this same thread, but for now I’ll mark it as resolved. Thanks again for the great support!
