Hello @sevenstarsystems , To give you some context, the recent major release of WordPress 7.0 introduced native AI integration as part of its core update. We developed our AI Studio plugin to act as a seamless connector between your website and your preferred AI platform so you could use these new tools right out of the box. While we sent out emails to give everyone a heads-up about this, we completely understand if it isn’t something you need. Using any tool to perform bulk actions of multiple sites via different platforms can prove useful. Of course, you can contact our support team and we can check if we can assist on the matter. Yeah, I know what the intent was, but this needs to be opt-in , not opt-out . Many of our clients operate on approved plugins, and have PCI compliance needs. A random plugin just showing up literally threatened their continued compliance, and caused some to have to file an incident report, involving man-hours to root-cause what it was, how it got added, etc. Now I have some threatening to pull out completely. We’re doing actual damage control over this. Absolutely horrible etiquette.
We understand the concerns around deployment control, PCI compliance requirements, and the disruption caused by unexpected plugin activation in live hosting environments. Your feedback regarding opt-in versus opt-out deployment has been taken seriously, and I am passing your comments directly to our product management and development teams as they re-evaluate deployment policies and integration methods for future releases.
