Hey, gang. Noob here, so please speak slowly lol. I got the dreaded message on my Adsense page. I pasted the publisher ID in the right spot after I downloaded the plugin. I thought I did it all correctly, but my /ads.txt page is blank. Can anyone tell me what I’ve missed, please? The page I need help with: [ log in to see the link] @nadinesniche Thanks for the question! It sounds like you’ve gotten the plugin installed and activated, which is great. Have you added any custom content to your ads.txt file? Once the plugin is active, you should have a settings page in the admin under Settings > Ads.txt . Here is where you’ll add any custom content that you need to show within your ads.txt file. By default this will be empty and you’ll see a blank page when visiting the /ads.txt URL on the front-end. thank you for responding! ☺️ The only custom content I have added was the Adsense code. so, when I go to the mysite.com/ads.txt it should be a blank screen? It shouldn’t be blank if you added some content via that settings page ( wp-admin/options-general.php?page=adstxt-settings ). It should show whatever content was added there. For example, I took the example code Google provides here ( google.com, pub-0000000000000000, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0 ) and added that to the ads.txt settings page on a test site and I do see that show up when I view the file on the front-end. Do you by chance have an actual ads.txt file that was uploaded to your server? That would overwrite this dynamic ads.txt file that we create. yes, before I even got the message from Adsense, I had opted in for the Jetpack ads.txt found in their settings > traffic. I had even already added the publisher ID to it. I believe it had been this way for months before Adsense got me. I don’t understand it. Yesterday, I was advised on another forum to choose one or the other. I opted out of the Jetpack ads.txt feature and am sticking with the plugin.
