I use the paid plug in and it works. I will probably continue using it until something better comes along. However some of the advertised features either don’t work correctly or just aren’t there. For instance, it offers optional services to be added but for some reason the optional services calculate the total wrong. Code People’s response to this? Please buy a technical support access for another $25. Also, the captcha doesn’t work at all. I have four hotel sites and followed Code People’s suggestions to disable the other plugins but no luck. But they want me to buy a technical support access for another $25. The apostrophe shows up as “//////” on messages to my clients. As in, “Thank you for reserving with Tony/////s ecolodge”. On their plugin site they talk about a customizable field which would be ideal for what I do, unfortunately I can’t find where it is offered, even with the updated plugin installed. Code People’s response is, of course, is to buy technical support access for $25. And you have to manually check for updates; this product does not automatically update like most of the other plugins do. So my suggestion is to take advantage of their 60-day technical service package that you get when you buy the product by putting the plugin to the test. Blast all the holes in it you can and get them to fix them to make it bullet proof. No guarantee they will, however. I can understand a plugin that can be a bit buggy… I know that coding something that works for everyone all the time is next to impossible. But I feel that the customer service policy is at the low end of acceptable considering how buggy their product can be. Hi, You are making reference to some features of a different plugin (Booking Calendar Contact Form) but the plugin that you have is the “CP Reservation Calendar”, that’s why there are some features that you don’t find there (ex: the form builder for creating custom forms). Please note that given the amount of products sold over the years and the cost required to maintain the ongoing support services, we can not offer free support for life for each purchase. For that reason, after the initial 60 days from the purchase date, technical support will be provided free of charge only under certain conditions or if the support service is renewed. Anyway we have offered you free support past the 60-day technical service package in the tickets #948718 and #652483, but once the support request requires a specific solution for fixing compatibility issues with third party plugins or the theme in your website we cannot offer it without an active access to the support service since that requires a considerable amount of time from our side. The support policy can be read in detail at the following page: http://wordpress.dwbooster.com/free-technical-support-policy Thank you for using the plugin. I just realized what happened… Code People updated the plug in and instead of offering it to people who had already paid the $50, they renamed it and are selling it as something else! “This plugin contains all the features present in the plugin CP Reservation Calendar plus an additional set of features. If you are looking for the pro version of the CP Reservation Calendar then you should get the pro version of the Booking Calendar Contact Form plugin” In regards to the free support you offered, it didn´t work. So the plugin that I bought earlier this year is obselete. In fact it isn´t even listed as one of the products sold on the Code People website. Thanks Code People…instead of feeling like I was just dealing with a company with a rather firm customer service policy, I now feel that I got shafted. The “CP Reservation Calendar” is still available, compatible with the latest WP versions and supported for existing customers, even when we aren’t offering its pro version for new customers. The “Booking Calendar Contact Form” is a different plugin, as explained it contains all the features present in the previous “CP Reservation Calendar pro” plus a very large set of features and functions. Our support guarantees a solution in all cases, please refer to your previous support tickets.
