7.3.7.3 resulted in a critical error

After updating Events Manager to version 7.3.7.3, pages containing Events Manager output started showing the WordPress critical error screen (“There has been a critical error on this website”). The affected pages included the public Home page and Events page, and the same pages could not be opened in the WordPress block editor while Events Manager 7.3.7.3 was active. The PHP error log repeatedly shows: PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class “EM_Event_Locations\EM_Object” not found in wp-content/plugins/events-manager/classes/event-locations/em-event-location.php:98 The stack trace shows this occurs while loading event post data: EM_Event_Locations\Event_Location->load_postdata() EM_Event->load_event_meta() EM_Event->load_postdata() EM_Event->__construct() em_get_event() EM_Events::get() EM_Events::output() templates/templates/events-list.php em_get_events_list_shortcode() The error repeated 23 times on 30-Jun-2026 between 09:54:58 and 11:21:18 UTC. Deactivating Events Manager immediately resolved the critical error. Rolling back Events Manager from 7.3.7.3 to 7.3.6 restored the Home and Events pages. I can confirm that versions 7.3.7, 7.3.7.1 and 7.3.7.3 break the home page and events page Hello, thanks for reporting this. The error is coming when you have events with a URL location specifically, which got past us in our tests. I just checked the demo site (and a few others) but none had a URL location which is why they looked fine 🙁 We’re releasing EM 7.3.7.4 right now, but unfortunately there’s a 24 hour hold on updates now. Hopefully the plugin team will help us get that up faster. Note that you can update immediately via the dashboard by going to Events > Settings > Advanced Tools > Check Dev Version.
